Last night we had the experience that people often wish they never encounter. We arrived home to find that during the day we were victims of a Break and Enter.
The perp, tried to kick in our front door and failed. Then decided to enter through the basement window by breaking it and slithering into the basement. He then proceeded to remove almost all the electronics from our property, as well as a few random items… Like the sitting room carpet.
After discovering this horrific scene, we called the police. They indicated not to touch a thing, until after they arrived… Which was FOUR hours later. A dismal response time. They performed a walk-through and took a statement. Then indicated, that realistically, nothing will come of this.
On a side note, our cat is fine. He must have hidden when the perp was robbing us! Thank god!
