I am happy to report that Macgyver seems like he is feeling better. It turns out that he has crystals in his urine, and needs prescription food to dissolve the crystals. After a few month, he can be switched to a maintenance prescription diet intended to prevent the crystals from coming back.
He certainly did not enjoy his vet visit on Monday, and I certainly did not enjoy the vet bill.
But his cute little kitty face is worth every penny.

Macgyver has Issues
12.04
Well, the truck is not the only thing of ours with troubles…poor little Macgyver (our cat) probably has a bladder infection
I woke up Saturday morning to him squatting on my jeans on the floor, looking like he was trying to lay an egg! Turns out, he just needed to pee but was having trouble. So, all weekend we followed him around the house, locked him out of all the rooms, and picked up anything that was on the floor. He hasn’t peed on anything, but he’s constantly in and out of his litter box.
I am bringing him to the vet today at 4:30, so hopefully they can fix him up with some antibiotics and he’ll be good as new!
Dakota Engine Troubles
12.04
I had a half-day off on Friday that I had planned on doing some running around to purchase some Christmas gifts for Alexis. Only, after hopping into my truck and driving down and filling up with gas the engine light on my truck went on.
Naturally, I thought damn, this is going to cost a zillion dollars to fix and I should get it home asap and park it until I can get it fixed. So this is exactly what I did.
While it was sitting at home I started to think about the problem a little bit more. I was hoping that the light would magically fix it’s self. So the next morning I went and tried it again, but the light was still on.
After some research on Google I found that I could get some of the Engine Error codes to display on the odometer by holding the trip reset button down and turning on the truck to aux power. This caused an error scan, but came up with no error codes.
Of course, this left me baffled. No error codes and the light was on.. So next step was to re-set the engine light. Simple enough, disconnect the negative battery terminal and reconnect.
After doing this process, I started the truck and the light has not been on since. So, I figure it was some ploy my the manufacturer to get to me to spend money when I don’t need to.
Unfortunately this whole issue caused me not to get Alexis’s Christmas gift… Now I’m sure to be in trouble!
